What is a good time to kick start good habits?

New day for new resolutions !

While every new day is a new beginning as they say, for any major habit change such as learning a new skill, starting a diet discipline or a new exercise routine, I am generally more inclined to start on some special day.

Like everyone else, usually the excitement of new resolutions is the highest around end-December.

However, several resolutions fizzle out with time or it is time for new resolutions keeping in mind the new challenges one faces at work or on personal front — changing goal post due to increasing waist line around the mango season !!

For those of you in the same boat as me, tomorrow happens to be a great day to reset, reboot and kickstart new resolutions. 
It is a New Years day for many in India — Gudhi Padva, Ugadi, etc.

I have been successful with resolutions when the goals have been realistic, achievable and showing results on week to week basis. 

No greater motivation than witnessing the progress — be it on the weighing scale or number of squats per day.

It works better when these resolutions are put on a post-it for daily visual reminder. You can make your digital friends — alexa, siri, google — give you reminders, too.

So, mull over it, choose one or two things and get started.
