I recently heaved a sigh of relief when I discovered Cast Iron Cookware
Here are some of the best sellers from the brand I use – LODGE Cast Iron Cookware
Your Choice Has Been Non-Stick Cookware ?
Non-stick cookware has been popular for decades due to its convenience and ease of cleaning.
They non-stick coating requires gentle handling and non-abrasive cleaning.
Over time, the non-stick layer erodes away and using such cookware poses risks.
However, it has become increasingly clear that the chemicals used in non-stick coatings can release toxic fumes when heated at high temperatures.
These fumes can lead to a range of health problems such as headaches, respiratory issues, and even cancer.
So, what’s the solution?
This is why we recommend switching to cast iron cookware for your cooking needs.
Not only is cast iron a healthier alternative to non-stick cookware, but it also has numerous benefits that make it an excellent choice for any household.

What are the Disadvantages of Cast Iron Cookware?
If one were to compare Cast Iron with other type of conventional cookware there are a few drawbacks as below. I can not help but add the justification to buy right next to it!
- It is heavy, so it is comparatively difficult to lift. (But hey, you can mange lifting this much weight. Isn’t is a good thing in fact?! You are also not going to flip the pans around as they show in reality cooking shows. )
- It is time consuming to clean. (But, in my experience, it is a matter to habit and no big deal. In fact, for many purposes, it suffices to just wipe it clean with a tissue and re-use also)
- It can rust IF it is not properly cared for. (Now, that “if” speaks for itself… Why would you not care for it ?)
- It could be more expensive than other cookware. (However, not to forget its durability and value for money !)
In my personal opinion, the above mentioned drawbacks don’t stand a chance against my decision to purchase because the benefits outweigh the disadvantages by a LARGE margin !
